Davy, Henry Rawle

Son of William Henry Davy, solicitor, and Emily Davy, of Chelwood House, Bristol. Davy was lodging with Mr Browne during his time at school. Younger brother of Louisa Mary, and older brother of Julia Frances, Georgina Elizabeth, Edward William, Ethel Caroline, Edith May, Reginald Thomas, and Samuel Charles. William, Henry, Edward, Reginald, and Samuel were all working as solicitors and law clerks before the War.

 

Davy was born on 12/05/1875, and attended the School from 1890-1892. He served as a Private in the Army, with the Royal Fusiliers (City of London Regiment) 11th Bn.. Davy sadly lost his life on 20/10/1917, as a result of the War.

 

Davy is buried in Dozinghem Military Cemetery, Belgium, grave reference XI. G. 7.

Also remembered on a family monument in St. Leonard Church burial ground, Chelwood.
