Purnell, Stanley George Hardy
Son of William F. Purnell, wholesale confectioner, and Georgina Purnell, of 565 Stapleton Road, Bristol. Younger brother of Mabel and Ida. Older brother of Medora and Dorcas.
Purnell was born on 11/12/1890, and attended the School from 1906-1909. He served as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Army, with the Northumberland Fusiliers 21st (Tyneside Scottish) Bn.. Purnell sadly lost his life on 05/06/1917, as a result of the War.
Purnell is remembered on Arras Memorial, France, Bays 2 and 3.
